Dr. Doerfler

Dr. Doerfler earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. She then earned her Doctor of Medicine at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA. She completed her pediatric residency at Primary Children’s Hospital at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.

She has a passion for working with youth in that, during her educational training, she was a leader in various church youth ministries. She mentored at-risk males at a youth probation camp during her undergraduate education. She then mentored pregnant and parenting teens during medical school. She also helped lead a summer camp for the underserved youth of San Bernardino, CA teaching them about nutrition and physical activity.

She strives to care for patients utilizing a “whole person care” approach by taking into consideration the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health of her patients. She is passionate about the basic tenants of overall health including nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and interpersonal relationships.

Lauren married Jay Doerfler in May 2018. Lauren and Jay enjoy spending time enjoying nature while hiking, camping, backpacking, and snow skiing. Lauren also enjoys exercising, cooking, baking, line dancing, and cheering for her hometown Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas City Chiefs, and Kansas City Royals. She has also adopted the Texas A&M Aggies after marrying Jay.
