Pediatric Healthcare Update September 2021

Greetings Pediatric Healthcare Family,

We want to give you an update since COVID once again has changed life for all of us. With this recent surge in the COVID-19 variant, we have reinstated our request that all patients and parents wear masks while in the office. While we allow patients coming for Well Child visits to socially distance in our waiting room, all sick patients are to wait in cars until called. Please limit the number of adults and siblings accompanying a child at a well or sick visit. If you or your child has COVID or has been exposed to COVID, please do not enter the office, but remain in your car and call for instructions.

If your child has been COVID exposed, he/she must quarantine for 10 days from the date of last exposure. If during this time your child begins to have symptoms of COVID and you would like for that child to be tested, please wait at least 48-72 hours before making an appointment to be tested. This helps prevent false negative test results.

Most importantly, we want to ask for your patience during this difficult time. We are receiving more phone calls, seeing more patients, doing more lab work, processing more school excuses, and staying later to accomplish all this. You and your family are also likely feeling pressures for many other reasons. We will make it through this together.

Thank you for allowing us to care for your family.
