Dr. Perry

L. David Perry, MD

Dr. L. David Perry attended the University of Alabama and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology.  He then earned his Doctor of Medicine Degree at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL.  Following medical school, Dr. Perry completed his pediatric residency program at the Children’s Hospital of Alabama at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  After completing his pediatric residency program, Dr. Perry moved to Tennessee and has practiced general pediatrics there for 22 years.

Dr. Perry is excited to return to Alabama and to join Pediatric Healthcare in Montgomery.  He enjoys being a teacher and loves teaching new parents about their children so they can become confident parents and empowered to lead their children through healthy childhood and into adulthood.  As an active person who himself lives with asthma, Dr. Perry enjoys caring for childhood asthma and allowing these children to be as active as they wish to be.  He also enjoys managing psychosocial problem, as these conditions have become more prevalent in children in our society.  He also is passionate about supporting reading for pleasure as a counter to the screen-oriented culture of today.

Dr. Perry and his wife Kathryn have four children, two daughters and two sons.  Along with spending time with his family, he enjoys running, hiking, fly fishing, church activities, and reading for pleasure.
