Dr. Trumbull Retiring

Dear Friends and Families of Pediatric Healthcare,

It is with heaviness of heart and a spirit of gratefulness that I announce my retirement effective March 28, 2025. After 40 years of caring for children and their families, it is time for me to retire from practice to spend more time with my family and nine grandchildren. My heart is heavy, for I will miss the many relationships we have built through these many years. When I first started practicing, I never realized how strong and satisfying the patient/family relationships would be. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know your children and watching them mature under your loving leadership.

My spirit is grateful for how the Lord God has blessed me with wonderful and dedicated parents, such as you, who have trusted me to guide them in the raising of their children. You have invited me into your personal lives — praying with many of you during challenging times and rejoicing with you as you celebrate milestones. It has been a delight to care for your children and even your children’s children. I will miss you!!

After my retirement, I encourage you to continue with Pediatric Healthcare.  I have full confidence that my colleagues will continue the high standard of care for your family that you have come to expect.  No immediate decision needs to be made, but you may indicate your choice of provider at a future visit, or by calling our front desk.  We have been actively recruiting my replacement and hope to have someone by spring.

Gratefully yours,

Den A. Trumbull, MD
